Warren Creek Phase 1 is a project that was completed in Hockley, TX located in Harris County, just west of Houston, TX.  This project was done for the Katy Prairie Mitigation Company, LLC.  Construction began in October 2012 and ended in March 2013.  Phase 1 included completion of 18,000 LF of stream restoration and floodplain reconnection and restoration and is part of an 87,000 LF, five phase project.  This project is located in what was originally Katy Prairie, and its purpose is bringing the area back to its natural state.  Prairie pot holes were constructed to help with this process.  Within this project, various types of structures were used to manage stream flow.  These structures included, but were not limited to:  log vanes, log sills, log riffles, rock riffles, root wads, and ford crossings.  Invasive treatment methods were done by chemical and mechanical removal.  In addition, seed and straw was used for erosion control purposes.  This project consisted of Priority I & II of stream restoration.  The Project Manager for this project was Lloyd Glover, V.P and the foreman was Trevor Leander.
