Stream & Wetland Restoration
Stream restoration is the process by which an eroded stream is repaired to reduce the impact of the erosion cycle. The goal of stream restoration is not only to stabilize the stream’s banks, but also to improve water quality which in turn provides a more beneficial habitat for aquatic life. Important components of this process include structure installation, for grade control and habitat, and the installation of environmentally suitable native plant material to stabilize the stream bank soil, thus helping to protect surrounding property.
Land Mechanic Designs has completed numerous design/build, restoration and wetland projects throughout the Southeastern corridor of the US. We understand not only does a restoration project depend on a proper and suitable design, but a successful implementation in order to avoid costly repairs and future deterioration.
