Dog Bite Stream Restoration Project is located in Bakersville, NC. The project was done for KCI Environmental Technologies and Construction, Inc. Construction began in June 2009 and was completed in September 2009. This project consisted of 3736 LF of stream restoration and floodplain reconnection and restoration. The work consisted of channel relocations, reforming banks and/or bed with the existing channel, installing grade control and habitat structures, stabilizing incoming seeps and drainages, installing livestock exclusion fencing, and replanting riparian buffers. Dog Bite consisted of Priority I & II stream restoration. The project manager for this project was Charles Hill and the foreman was Allen Hill.
